Some people go to fine dining restaurants for the cuisine, some people go for the exclusivity that a high priced menu and limited reservations affords them.
To me, the Cronut was about the wait, the exclusivity without the price tag. Why its a sensation is because it actually tastes good (or so I’ve heard). Will any of those ideas be popular? Yea, with the right marketing you can practically sell the name of an item alone. Will any of those be a craze? Only if they taste great.
